Hello, this blog is all about The Gratitude Campaign,
and the special services which come with it.
It's to thank all the soldiers all around the world for what they do.
One person in particular who comes to mind is my neighbour's
son who's only 20 years of age, his name is Lloyd,
he's got a heart of gold and he is a Royal Marine
I have full admiration for the work he does for our country.
when I found out he was going to Iraq last August I
had to shake his hand to wish him good luck, I then
felt the tears fill my eyes, he was so young and I feared for him,
it was just like a member of my family going out to war.
Me and Lynn has known him since he was small, he's always
polite and has never a bad word about anyone. He lives in
Leicester and is a proud upright young man.
For now Lloyd, thank you from the bottom of my heart,
    and God bless

His Mother wrote this about him, please read it to get to know him.

Last time when Lloyd came home he decided to go out clubbing
dressed as Batman, this is the sort of person he is...
Fun loving, loves a good laugh, and he's the life and soul of the
party, he likes living his life to the full, he's kind and loyal to all
he meets, especially his family and friends.
When Lloyd was born, he was a tiny 2lb 4oz, the doctors
nicknamed him Peugeot after the car, as the lion on it goes from
strength to strength...Just like Lloyd, he's gone from stength to
strength...He became the person he is today from sheer
determination and great effort...We all love him and feel so proud
of him always...It's wonderful when he comes home on leave,
he is a true credit to all of his family...Thank you Lloyd...

Leicester Images would also like to thank all the men and women
who do a special service for our country, such as The Police,
The fire brigade, The ambulance Team and all the other countless
heroes of our country, without their help what would our lives be
like now, so from me to all of these brave people, thank you!

    received this in an email
The "I" is not identified, but I did find an email address listing
So Perhaps "Scott" is the creator.
To whom ever the creator is I would like to say "Thank you " to you as well!
    God Bless!

For the past several years as I've been traveling around the country,
I've been approaching soldiers in the airports and thanking them for
serving for us. On several occasions I have noticed that it felt a little awkward
for both of us. There are several reasons, some of which I am
even just now learning as I produce this film and talk to more soldiers.
But they have always appreciated being thanked, and I have always felt
    better having expressed my gratitude.
I started to think that it would be nice if civilians had a gesture
or sign that they could use to say "thank you" quickly and easily without even
having to approach. I did some research and found the sign that we are now using.
Is this limited to the military? Not at all. If you look around
you I'm sure that you'll find lots of people who are serving their communities, from
local to global. If you appreciate their service, give them a sign. Say "thank you.

What a beautiful thing for us to do.  We always take our services for granted and with
the threat of war on us all the time we should be thankful to our armed forces and
home services every day.  We need them and we must show our gratitude. Love Nessa
